What to check before you book
- Noise. The avenues along the river carry heavy traffic, so lower floors facing the road can be loud. Ask for the floor and the side of the building.
- Desk. A real desk and an office chair, not the dining table.
- Air conditioning. At least in the bedroom, especially in sunny or top-floor apartments.
- Blackout blinds. In the bedroom, so the morning light doesn’t wake you.
- Internet. Ask for a recent speed test and whether it’s fibre. Keep mobile data as a backup for calls.
Getting around
- Industriales station on Metro Line A is within walking distance.
- El Poblado is the next stop south on Line A, and the city centre is a few stops north.
- Taxis and ride-hailing apps are easy to find along the main avenues.
