Furnished monthly rentals in Belén
Belén is a large, mostly residential area in the south-west of Medellín, with its own main park, busy local high streets and quieter blocks around them. It’s one of the city’s more traditional areas, with fewer furnished options so far and lower prices. It’s an area we’re betting on.

What to check before you book
- Noise. The main roads and the area around Parque de Belén are busy. Blocks a few streets back are usually calmer.
- Desk. A real desk and an office chair, not the dining table.
- Air conditioning. At least in the bedroom, especially in sunny or top-floor apartments.
- Blackout blinds. In the bedroom, so the morning light doesn’t wake you.
- Internet. Ask for a recent speed test and whether it’s fibre. Keep mobile data as a backup for calls.
Getting around
- Belén has no metro station of its own. Buses and Metroplús routes connect it to the metro network.
- It borders Laureles–Estadio to the north, so many residents also use the Line B stations there.
- Taxis and ride-hailing apps are the easy way across the river to El Poblado.
